Pace Base-Ball Game
From my personal collection, here is a very fun little game to play. You shoot the five balls up onto the playfield playing the game of baseball. Has pockets for single, double, triple, home run, walk and out.Introduced by Pace in the 1930s, they made it for almost 20 years. This is one of the limited edition extended production games that was made from the original tooling about 10 years ago as a 50th anniversary commemorative.
Identical to the original design, because it was made from the original tooling, only 500 were made and then the tooling was destroyed.
I went a few steps further and took the machine, totally disassembled it, replaced the bottom and top boards with ones made of solid oak, exactly like the originals, repainted the cabinet a nice hammer tone green and even added a Pace decal on the side for an extra touch.
Also has new rubber feet added to the bottom and a new lock that was nicer than the one that came with it. So, a real one-of-a-kind piece, ready to go in your game room.
Approximately 17" tall, 9" wide and 8" deep.
But wait, there's more! As part of the commemorative project, a second model was also made called the Whiz-Ball. Same concept but a different playfield. I redid one of those as well and the two machines are meant to be a matching pair. Check the other machines for sale for photos of that one.
